22nd December 2004 New CD featuring Troy Troy has contributed, uilleann pipes, low whistle, tin whistle and E-Bow guitar to a superb new album from Jennifer Cutting. 22nd November 2004 Iona film London concert for DVD The Iona concert at the University of London on 18th November was filmed for a forthcoming DVD release. With six cameras used, this should be a spectacular release. Watch this space for further details.

2nd November 2004 Troy and Dave record in Lincoln Cathedral On 27th October, Troy, together with Dave Bainbridge, recorded an hour of improvised music, in the inspirational setting of Lincoln Cathedral. Behind locked doors and alone, apart from the recording engineers and cameramen, they performed an hour-long session for future DVD release. Full report to follow.

Troy in concert with Danny Thompson at the Purcell Room Troy is to join forces with the legendary Danny Thompson, alumni of Pentangle, Richard Thompson and double Grammy Award winners The Blind Boys of Alabama, together with guitarist Darrell Scott, veteran of the Nashville scene and recent collaborator, Barbara Dickson. 11th September 2004 Glasgow Proms Cancelled The Glasgow 'Proms in the Park' unfortunately had to be cancelled due to extremely high winds. However, Troy and Barbara Dickson recorded 'Eriskay Love Song' in the nearby Science Park, which was subsequenlty broadcast on BBC2. 13th August 2004 Troy Live on TV! Further to the news that Troy will be performing at "The Proms in the Park" in Glasgow on September 11th with Barbara Dickson; in addition to being broadcast on Radio 3, it has now been confirmed that the show will be televised live on BBC4. (Freeview, Sky, Cable in the UK.) 10th August 2004 Pursuit Of Illusion now available in USA "The Pursuit of Illusion" is at last going to be available to our American friends. It will be available/distributed through 'Navarre' a well known music multi-media company. As shipping begins on Monday, it should be available very soon. There is a toll-free number: 1-800-567-9185. Troy Live on BBC Radio 3 Troy will be performing at "The Proms in the Park" in Glasgow on September 11th with Barbara Dickson. They will perform five songs with BBC Symphony Orchestra including three songs from the new "Full Circle" album. Troy did the orchestrations for the show and it can be heard live on BBC Radio 3. The Unseen Stream flows again Troy has acquired the rights to his first album, "The Unseen Stream". This is excellent news as it gives the album hope of a new lease of life with new distribution and promotion. 14th June 2004 Japanese Jaunt! Troy and Dave Bainbridge will be playing a few gigs in Japan. "Troy Donockley & Dave Bainbridge Live in Japan" will be Dec 1st - 6th and details as to venues will appear on the site www.mplant.com. The album of the short "Troy & Dave"tour at the end of last year is about to be mixed and should have a release in the autumn..... 'Full Circle' Release Date The New Barbara Dickson album, now titled "Full Circle", will be released on Sept 13th on the 'RandM' label. A Long tour is planned for the whole of Feb 2005 to promote the album but material from it will be featured at a "Proms in the Park" concert in Glasgow on 11th Sept with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. 7th May 2004 New Unrelased Track! A previously unreleased track from the Pursuit of Illusion recording sessions and featuring Peter Knight, will soon be available to download, free, from the web site! Troy and Dave Bainbridge Live CD A live recording of the recent short tour of "Troy Donockley and Dave Bainbridge" is about to be mixed for a release date sometime early summer. The album will also feature some 'studio' material including a version of the traditional song "Great Silkie of Sules Skerry" which also appeared on the Maddy Prior "Ravenchild" album. Other live tracks include material from both solo albums as well as new..... Another new CD! Troy is also planning an album of Traditional Uilleann Piping! This is still in the early stages however. You Slosh For serious lovers of nostalgia, Plans are under way for a "Complete Youslosh" anthology including "Live" video footage(!) for sometime this year. Watch this space.

Barbara Dickson - Update The recording of 'Faithless Love' is now finished and went fantastically well; with some truly splendid performances captured from Neil Drinkwater, The Emperor Quartet, Nick Holland, who sang a duet on "Across the Hills", Danny Thompson (the living legend himself!) and Terl Bryant. The album is sounding very rich, epic and spacey and Troy and Barbara are both VERY excited. Mixing starts on 22nd March. 28th Janaury 2004 Barbara Dickson - 'Faithless Love' Work continues apace on the new Barbara Dickson album to be entitled 'Faithless Love'. Troy is producing, arranging and playing on the new album which he reports is going slendidly. Some recording has already taken place and the remainder is due to be completed by mid-March. Further details and sound clips are available at www.barbaradickson.net 14th December 2003 Troy featured on major new classical compilation album To be released February 2004 on the ‘Sanctuary’ Label, this is a compilation CD of British Composers with a Celtic feel. It is called “Celtic Classics” and will feature “Overture: Journey North”. This orchestral piece opened the Iona concert at the Royal Festival Hall and has since been performed twice at Moya Brennan concerts. The piece is part of the as yet unfinished “Rheged Symphony” so watch this space….. Troy to produce new Barbara Dickson album Troy teams up with his friend Barbara to produce her new album next March. The album will be something they have both wanted to do for years – a mixture of Traditional and Classical songs. Troy says “I think Barbara is one of the greatest voices of traditional or any song, and this album plan is really exciting. The world needs to hear that she is not what they expect!” Troy wins Award - again! At the Classic Rock Society Awards on the 8th December, Troy won the award for 'Best Multi-Instrumentalist', for the third time in succesive years! He was suffering from a bad bout of flu at the time but managed a live telephone link-up to the ceremony from his sick-bed!
